Produced from the Greek indigenous varieties Limnio, Mavroudi and Mavrotragano. Limnio – is mentioned by Aristophanes as “limnia Imbelos” in the 5th century BC. – is the oldest Greek variety and dominates the wine.
After the extraction and completion of the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in special oak tanks of Burgundy, the wine ages in oak French barrels.
It has a bright deep purple color, a complex “bouquet” of spices with ripe black fruits (raspberry), raisins, coffee and cocoa. In the mouth gentle tannins are supported by plenty of fruit creating strength and balance. Its aftertaste is constant with repetition of spices. It has a great aging potential.
