This Guatemalan rum is matured using the solera system, a process used in sherry production in which different styles of rum are continuously blended and aged in a succession of casks to ensure balance and complexity. The first set of casks previously held full-bodied American whiskeys, the second delicate sherries and the last elegant Pedro Ximenez wines. The end result is a unique blend of rums aged 6 to 23 years old with captivating notes of honey, caramel, spiced oak and dried fruit.
